Search On For FL Store Clerk Killer

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) – A Pensacola convenience store owner is dead and authorities are searching for the person who shot him during an armed robbery.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old Chung Lun “Alan” Chiang was gunned down Tuesday night as he stood behind the counter at the A&E Food Mart.

On Wednesday, officials released photos of the suspected gunman that were captured on the store’s surveillance cameras.

They identify him as 39 year old Raymond Pruitt.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Pensacola News Journal reports the same man is believed to have pointed a gun at a gas station clerk late Monday night before emptying the cash register and taking the employee’s wallet.

No one was injured in that incident.
