(UPDATE 4:30 P.M.) The U.S. Coast Guard has called off its search for that missing person, about 24 hours after he or she was last seen in the Gulf of Mexico.

The U.S. Coast Guard continues to search for a person missing when the motorized paraglider he or she was flying went down in the Gulf of Mexico Monday afternoon off Redington Beach.
Witnesses say they saw the person in the water for awhile, but then that person disappeared.
There is no word who the person is.
