The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a drug-related shooting that happened Sunday morning near St. Petersburg.
A woman, whose name was not released, was shot in her upper body about 3:30 a.m. near the 2600 block of 40th Avenue N, the Sheriff’s Office said. Her condition declined and she was in critical condition Sunday night.
The woman, who is in her late 20s or early 30s, was with other people who came to that area to buy drugs, detectives said.
The assailant was still at large, authorities said.
No other details were released.
