Woman Dies At St Anthony’s Meek And Mighty Triathlon

A woman determined to lose weight and get healthy died this weekend at the St. Anthony’s Meek and Mighty Triathlon event at the North Shore Pool in St. Pete. Felicia Williams was 44-years-old. Seven months ago, her brother died of congestive heart failure. Being obese with heart disease runs in the family and her family says she was determined to take back her life. Williams was swimming her last lap in the pool with people were cheering her on, even swimming beside her for support and then she just stopped. She died of a heart attack.

The family wants to share a message to others with similar determination. You should be under doctors care and build up endurance. You can’t just jump up and walk out the door and run a marathon.

This is the first death in the history of the triathlon competition.
