St. Petersburg Police Stop Holiday Shoplifters

Officers with the St. Petersburg police were out at the Wal-Mart at 201 34th Street North to arrest shoplifters for a second time. They were wearing plain clothes.

The video below shows officers monitoring the store surveillance cameras to spot suspicious behavior.

They arrested a total of eight people. These included five Felonies and three misdemeanors.

One adult was also charged with violating probation for robbery, and another adult was charged with possession of crack cocaine.

In a separate operation last week, 19 people were arrested, mostly on charges of retail theft although several had outstanding warrants and one juvenile was in violation of court ordered home detention for a previous burglary charge.
