St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue responded to 1240 1/2 9th Street North for a single story residential structure fire.
When fire crews arrived on scene they found heavy black smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure.
The first in Engine Company made a defensive fire attack and worked to protect the surrounding structures. The structure was vacant at the time of the fire and is a complete lost.
The origin and cause is still under investigation.
