Car Ends Up In Water At Johns Pass

The Pinellas County Sheriffs deputies are investigating a vehicle in the water near the beach access across from Johns Pass in Madeira Beach, 129th Ave. and Gulf Blvd.

The report about the incident came in at about 4:40 a.m. It happened at 12924 Gulf Boulevard behind the Sandy Shores condos, deputies said. They haven’t released any information about how it happened or if anybody was hurt.

According to PCSO, the car’s front windows and sunroof were open and nobody was inside when they found it. A US Coast Guard helicopter is flying above the area looking for possible victims in the water.

Crews have pulled the vehicle out of the water and on to the beach. Deputies have made contact with the registered owner, who advised the vehicle was stolen overnight.

No one was found inside the vehicle. This is an ongoing investigation.
