UPDATE: The Pinellas Park Police Department report that just after sending this alert, the woman was identified. Disregard this report.

The Pinellas Park Police Department requests the public’s assistance in identifying a woman.

At approximately 9:45 AM this morning, a Pinellas Park Police Officer located an elderly female lying on the sidewalk in the 7600 block of 59th St N. That’s about a block away from the police station.

Their efforts to identify the woman have been unsuccessful so far. Thus far have failed to locate the female’s residence and no missing person reports have been filed.

There is a language barrier but police believe the woman to be of Haitian decent and her name may be Amele Joseph. They’re unsure on the spelling. They believe she was born in the 1930’s.

Translation services thus far have been unable to provide the police additional information and age related medical issues may be hampering the investigation.

The woman is otherwise uninjured, police say.

They request that anyone who recognizes her photo, to please contact Det. Cpl. Fey or Det. Creedon at 727-541-0758.
