ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ A man and his girlfriend face multiple charges after his 12-week-old baby was taken from her mother at knifepoint.
The incident happened Wednesday in Riverview, which is near Tampa.
According to an arrest report, 31-year-old Joshua Benford kicked in the door to his ex-girlfriend’s home and held a knife to her throat.
His 22-year-old girlfriend Victoria Saucedo took the baby from 30-year-old Monica Buzbee.
Deputies say Buzbee has custody of the child. Benford is the child’s father.
The couple returned to St. Petersburg, where they live, with the child. They were located about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday by Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies.
They remain in the Pinellas County Jail and bond has been set at $205,000 each.
