WASHINGTON – Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address famously touts freedom as government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
But despite the promise of self-governance, the US has one of the lowest voter turnout rates of any democracy in the world.
President Obama now says he’s got a way to change that — make it illegal not to vote.
