MIAMI (AP) _ A Florida prosecutor says investigators are still interviewing witnesses in the case of a woman who claims Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown snatched her cell phone outside a nightclub.
Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said Thursday that interviews of local witnesses are complete.
Now investigators want to talk to several out-of-state witnesses supplied by Brown’s Los Angeles-based attorney, Mark Geragos.
Police say 24-year-old Christal Shanae Spann claims Brown grabbed her phone when she tried to take his picture outside the South Beach club Cameo in February.
Spann says Brown told her he didn’t want any photo she might take on the Internet.
Brown could face a felony charge.
That could cause more legal trouble for Brown, who remains on probation for the 2009 beating of his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
