On May 2, 2014 at 10:54 p.m., a 2010-2013 silver Chevrolet Camaro entered the parking lot of the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union located at 6804 E. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa and then left the property. On May 3, 2014 at 12:19 a.m., the Camaro returned to the parking lot and parked on the west side of the kiosk.
The Camaro then drove around the parking lot and around a vacant building nearby. At 12:53 a.m., two unknown suspects exited the Camaro and entered the kiosk. Once inside, the suspects disabled the alarm and gained access to the safe.
They took a large amount of currency and deposit checks.
They attempted to break into a second safe, but were unsuccessful. At 2:50 a.m., the two suspects exited the kiosk, ran towards the Camaro and fled the scene.
