Police Searching For Suspect In Two Crimes

sketch

A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office sketch artist worked with TPD and one of the robbery victims to develop a composite sketch. The composite sketch is for the robbery suspect. Due to the similarity in the descriptions, police are working to determine if these two cases are related.

The first case happened on Sept. 7 at 4:30 a.m. at 2707 13th Street North in St. Petersburg. The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’11, 190 lbs, average build with dark skin. He has short black hair and was last seen wearing a baggie white t-shirt with baggie black athletic shorts.

The suspect entered the residence through the unlocked front door with two of the victims inside. He pointed a gun and demanded money. Two additional victims entered the home and the suspect turned and pointed the gun to them. He took money and fled.

The second case happened on Sept. 9 at East Columbus Drive and I-275. The man in this case is described as a black male, 25-28 years old, 5’8 -5’11, medium to dark skin, medium build. He had a black bandana with a dark shirt and jeans.

In this case, the suspect, who was armed, forced his way into the victim’s home, bound the victim’s hands and sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect fled the home and the victim was able to bang on her wall to get her neighbor’s attention. The neighbor called police.

Detectives are working on leads in the case, but anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers.
