Police Searching For Seffner Bank Robber




Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a bank robbery at the BB&T Bank located at 1707 Parsons Avenue South in Seffner. The incident happened at about 9:33 a.m. on Thursday.

The suspect, armed with an automatic pistol, demanded money from a teller and after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, fled the bank. No vehicles were seen, according to HCSO.

Detectives believe that the suspect is also responsible for another bank robbery that occurred on August 14, 2014 at the US Ameribank located at 3702 Bearss Avenue East in Tampa.

He is described as a white male, approximately 50 – 65 years of age, 5’3″ – 5’6″, 130- 150 lbs., white hair, white beard, dark blue long sleeve shirt, dark shorts, white socks and black shoes.
