Police Investigating Stabbing At The Villisca Ax Murder House

Police in Villisca, Iowa are investigating an overnight stabbing at the infamous Villisca Ax Murder House, according to KMA Land.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office says they got a call about a stabbing at 12:45 a.m. Friday morning. Upon arrival they found Steven Laursen, Jr. of Rhinelander, Wisconsin had stabbed himself.

He was taken to the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha. Laursen was visiting the location as part of a recreational paranormal investigation.

Personnel with the Red Oak Police Department were able to aide deputies in their investigation. According to the report, his condition is unknown as of 4 a.m. Friday.

Authorities don’t suspect foul play and thus no charges are expected to be filed.
