Police: Commuter Train Derails At Chicago O’Hare

Train Derail Chicago O'Hare

CHICAGO (AP) — Police say a commuter train derailed early Monday at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport, injuring about 30 people on board.

Chicago police spokesman Ron Gaines says the train derailed around 2:50 a.m. as it was pulling into the O’Hare station. Gaines says none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Gaines says it wasn’t yet known what might have caused the train to derail.

Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis says rail service in the area has been suspended but buses were being used to get passengers to and from the airport.

32 people were hurt but none seriously.
