The Largo Police were called out to the Largo Medical Center’s Emergency Room in reference to two men who drove to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The incident happened on Monday night at 9:21 p.m.
According to Largo Police, the men met each other in the Melrose on the Bay apartment complex earlier that evening. The two were both in the car together when they were approached by two unidentified suspects.
The suspects shot the victims multiple times and fled the area. How they fled (by foot/car) is unknown but Largo police say they have a limited description of the suspect: a tall, black male with dreadlocks.
According to Largo police, the incident appears to be drug related and the investigation is ongoing at this time. They also point out that both victims have significant injuries but are expected to survive.
No further information is being released by detectives at this stage of the investigation.
