The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that Clay was walking eastbound on the southbound sidewalk of Lumsden Road when he crossed the intersection of John Moore Road against a “Don’t Walk” signal.
As a result, he was hit by a 2006 Toyota Scion xA and now remains in critical condition at Tampa General. The Toyota driver, 43-year-old Wen Qi Xiong of Brandon, and its passenger, 41-year-old Xiu Ying Yang of Brandon, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Brandon Regional Hospital.
Clay’s birthday is tomorrow.
