According to deputies, a suspect was shot after threatening deputies who had made entry into a home in the 3200 block of Windfield Drive after receiving information that the suspect’s girlfriend had been battered by him and would not answer the door nor allow anyone in the home to answer the door so deputies could check on her well-being.
Police received the initial call at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday night and entry into the home was made at about 12:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
