BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) _ A Bradenton woman is accused of aggravated manslaughter in the death of her 4-year-old son.
Authorities say 32-year-old Dianna Marr and her 25-year-old boyfriend Trevor Cardarelle face charges in the death of Alexander Marr. He was found dead in a bedroom of his home on April 12. His mother was arrested Thursday.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office says Cardarelle was arrested April 12 on a probation violation charge after authorities learned there was a loaded gun inside the apartment. He’s also charged with capital sexual battery of another child.
Both are being held without bond. It wasn’t clear whether they have attorneys.
Investigators say the child suffered a fractured skull and lacerated liver.
Neither the Department of Children and Families nor the sheriff’s office reported prior involvement at the home.
