A Palm Harbor man has been arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery. Detectives identified the suspect as 43-year-old John Gerald Wilson. Wilson was arrested on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at approximately 10:25 p.m.
Deputies were contacted on Wednesday after one of the victim’s disclosed to her mother that the suspect had sexually abused her when she was 16-years-old. When detectives made contact with the victim it became known that the suspect had done this to another female victim known to him. The second victim told detectives that the suspect has sexually abused her on multiple occasions since she was 10-years-old. She is now 18-years-old.
Police say the incidents occurred when one female victim was 16-years-old and when the other female victim was between the ages of 10 to 18-years-old. Per Florida Statute, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victims.
Wilson was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
The investigation continues.
