Ousted Bradenton Beach Mayor Bill Shearon says he will run in November to regain the post he lost in Tuesday’s recall election.
Shearon lost by a dozen votes to winner Jack Clarke in a special election sparked by complaints about Shearon’s leadership.
Some say Shearon violated Florida sunshine laws, others say he misused city money, still others say he created a hostile work environment.
Clarke will fill the post for what was supposed to be the rest of Shearon’s term—about 6 months.
Clarke hasn’t said whether he will run in November.
