President Obama has requested Congress give him authorization to use military force on ISIS, opening the door to what he calls “limited” combat operations on the ground in Iraq and Syria. Originally, the U.S.military was only launching airstrikes and wouldn’t get involved in war with the terrorist organization.The Obama administration refused to call it a “war” and wouldn’t touch Syria.
Pretty soon, however, airstrikes were launched in Syria, military “advisers” were sent over and now we’re at the brink of having boots on the ground, hence the term “Mission-Creep.”
