Oil baron Harold Hamm hand-wrote a massive check to his ex-wife, Sue Ann Arnall, worth $975 million and she rejected it, according to the Washington Post.

According to Arnall’s lawyers, she rejected the check because she “did not want to risk the dismissal of her appeal by acceptance of the benefits.”

Thanks to his 26-year marriage with Arnall, Hamm was worth some $19 billion. He now says that his fortune is dwindling because of dropping oil prices.
