NOAA: Hurricane Season To Be “Below Average”

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a “below average” 2015 Atlantic storm season.

NOAA says we can expect 6 to 11 named storms with 3 to 6 of those becoming hurricanes and 0 to 2 of those becoming major hurricanes.

Experts say a strong El Nino that is warming the Pacific Ocean is to thank for the lower hurricane likelihood.

Hurricane season runs June 1st through November 30th.
