SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) _ Jury selection in the trial of a 17-year-old who is accused of killing two British tourists will extend into a third day.
Shawn Tyson is facing two first-degree murder charges. Authorities say Tyson shot and killed British tourists James Kouzaris and James Cooper last April.
Prosecutors, defense attorneys and Judge Rick De Furia spent Monday and Tuesday sorting through more than 120 potential jurors.
The goal is to seat 12 jurors and two alternates for the trial, which is expected to take a week.
Tyson, who has been held in the Sarasota County Jail without bail, faces life in prison if convicted.
