New York Giants Shawn Rogers Jewelry Stolen in Miami Hotel

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers had a pair of diamond earrings and gold jewelry stolen from his Miami Beach hotel room.

Miami Beach police are looking for a woman accused of taking over $400,000 worth of jewelry from a safe inside Rogers’ room at the Fontainebleau Hotel.

A police report shows Rogers reported the items missing Monday after a night out on South Beach.

Rogers missed last season after developing a blood clot in his leg following a preseason game. He had been signed as a free agent in April.

Rogers has played with Detroit, Cleveland and New Orleans, recording 602 tackles, 371/2 sacks, 27 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and an interception return for a touchdown. He has also blocked 14 field-goal attempts.
