SARASOTA COUNTY – Mystery shrouds an incident in which a naked man suffering from severe burns was dropped off at a local emergency room.

A woman ran into Sarasota Memorial Hospital just before noon Saturday asking for help. When the head nurse went outside, he found a burned, nude man in the back seat of a pickup truck. The woman told the nurse that the man was dropped off in their driveway, according to an incident report.

The three people who brought the burn victim left when the nurse took him inside. The victim was flown to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.
