The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s, David Gee says this is a complex crime scene and taht they are investigating it as a possible targeted attack.
His office is investigating two bodies found in an upscale Tampa subdivision Monday night as homicides.
Gee said the two bodies were found shot to death in a home in the Avila subdivision in north Tampa and they have been identified as Dr. Hector Rivera, 76, and his wife Debra Rivera, 55. Both worked at Town ‘N Country Medical Care.
A 911 call from a home in the 800 block of Taray De Avila just before 8 p.m. with neighbors reporting hearing gun fire.
When deputies arrived they found the two victims fatally shot. Officials said multiple shots had been fired.
Detectives say the investigation is ongoing and that they would be at the scene for several hours today.
A suspect or motive is still unknown.
