Police say the motorcycle was traveling at high speeds when the driver lost control and hit the inside barrier wall. The crash caused both occupants of the bike to be ejected and slide across the lanes of traffic, but they weren’t hit by other vehicles.
They were both taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa for treatment of serious injuries. They were both wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
