A massive cell phone and internet outage across Tampa Bay is largely over, according to AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
Each company blames its hours-long disruption on different phenomena.
AT&T says it was a local service provider issue.
Verizon Wireless blames Frontier Communications, which is taking over Verizon’s operations starting today.
Other major U.S. cities had similar cell phone and internet service disruptions today.
