(UPDATE 1:30 p.m.) Investigators say a washing machine malfunction in an outside laundry room is what sparked this morning’s raging blaze. They say there is half a million dollars damage.

An early morning fire at a Tampa apartment building has more than a dozen people looking for a new place to live.
It happened at Westchester Manor Apartments on North Central Avenue and appears to have started in one of the occupied units.
Seven families and a total of 14 people were displaced.
Investigators are looking for the cause of the blaze.
