MLB Wants To Cut Down On Game Length

MLB

The problem is these games are getting…just…too…long. So MLB is experimenting with ways to shorten the average baseball game.

Some ideas under consideration: Limiting the time between pitches to 20 seconds – just like a shot clock in basketball, shortening the time between innings, limiting the time allowed for a pitching change, and not bothering to throw four pitches for every unintentional walk. Just let the batter take the base! Right now, these are just experiments being tested in the minor leagues.
