Microsoft Ditches Internet Explorer For Project Spartain

Microsoft has hinted that they will get rid of Internet Explorer, but now it’s official.

Microsoft head of marketing, Chris Capossela made the announcement Monday at the Microsoft Convergence conference, according to Jessica Guynn of USA Today.

They’re going to lean on their new browser called Project Spartin, according to The Verge.

“We’re now researching what the new brand or the new name for our browser should be in Windows 10,” Capossela said. “We’ll continue to have Internet Explorer, but we’ll also have a new browser called Project Spartan, which is codenamed Project Spartan. We have to name the thing.”

Internet Explorer will be in existence still but the majority of Windows 10 users will use Project Spartain, according to USA Today.

Project Spartain is geared toward the mobile user and will run on tablets, phones and computers.
