MIAMI — More than a dozen people were injured when a Miami-Dade Transit bus crashed into a building.
The Miami Herald reports the crash happened around 7 a.m. Thursday near Miami Jackson Senior High. Some of those on board the bus were students on their way to school.
Witnesses told police the bus driver swerved to avoid hitting a sports utility vehicle and crashed into the South Florida Everything Warehouse.

Miami-Dade police say the SUV driver was taken into custody for an unrelated bench warrant.
Authorities say the bus driver was severely injured but most of the other injuries appeared to be minor.
The crash is under investigation.
