Massachusetts Town Considers Becoming Municipality

This could get interesting if it catches on. First several drug store chains announcing they would no longer sell tobacco products, and now an entire municipality is considering doing the same.

Westminster, MA, population 7700, will hold a public hearing Monday as their Board of Health considers a proposed measure to ban all tobacco sales in the entire town. That would be the first municipality in the United States to do so. The American Lung Association thinks it’s a great idea. Phillip Morris, not so much.
