TAMPA – Hillsborough County School Board fired Florida’s Superintendent of the Year 2014 without cause. Ex-Superintendent MaryEllen Elia is about to collect her severance of over $1 million and the Board has started to search for a replacement.
As the dust settles, many are calling the termination of Elia the “Blunder of the Year” and are still shocked by the Board’s politically motivated decision. It has now garnered national headlines.
