Pasco County police received a call about a person being shot at 9:13 a.m. Monday at 36008 Valleybrook Avenue in Zephyrhills.
Once Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene, a male victim was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim, whose identity has not been released pending the notification of next of kin, was flown by helicopter to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
The suspect has been arrested and police are not releasing his identity yet.
