WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) _ A man is behind bars after police say he plowed his vehicle into three people in the parking lot of a Winter Haven bar.
Witnesses said four people were fighting in the parking lot at Old Man Frank’s around 2 a.m. Saturday when the argument escalated physically.
The bar’s security staff broke up the fight, but Winter Haven police say Buddy Bailey got into his car and drove straight into the group of men he had been fighting with, hitting each of them as he sped off.
Authorities said the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.
Bailey was charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a motor vehicle and one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury.
