St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dante Cummings, 26, wanted by U.S. Marshals in Atlanta, Ga., on drug charges, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
“Our detectives established surveillance at Cummings’ girlfriend’s home in the 800 block of S.W. Jennifer Terrace, Port St. Lucie,” Sheriff Mascara said. “Cummings left the home, got into a minivan and drove away before deputies stopped him at the intersection of Cameo and California Boulevard. He admitted that he had narcotics pills at the home and claimed them as his own.”
Deputies searched the home and found 60 Oxycodone pills.
Sheriff Mascara said deputies will charge him Friday with drug trafficking.
He was taken to the St. Lucie County jail where he is being held without bond on federal drug charges contained in a sealed indictment issued by the U.S. District Court in Atlanta.
