Man Faces Life Sentence For Beating His Girlfriend To Death

VIERA, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man is facing a life sentence for beating his girlfriend to death.

Florida Today reports that 24-year-old Josiah Hadley was found guilty Friday of second degree murder. His sentencing is scheduled for May 3.

Police say Hadley and 22-year-old Griselle Martinez began arguing while hanging out with friends in Melbourne in 2014, and the fight escalated once they returned to their Palm Bay apartment. A roommate told police that Hadley repeatedly punched Martinez. An autopsy later determined that Martinez died from blunt force injuries to the head and neck causing a brain hemorrhage.
