Deputies are investigating a drowning at a residential pool in unincorporated Clearwater after a man was found unresponsive in the water.
According to deputies, 68-year-old Rodney Williamson was swimming in the residential pool within the Cove Cay condo complex at approximately 10:55 p.m. A neighbor located Williamson in the water unresponsive, pulled him from the water with the assistance of a security guard and called 9-1-1.
Deputies responded and Williamson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Pinellas County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
