SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a man is dead following a house fire in Sanford.
The fire broke out around 11 p.m. Sunday.
Neighbor Chuck Wright told Orlando television station WFTV he arrived at the scene just before firefighters and was helping to make sure no one was trapped inside. But the flames became too intense and he had to step back.
Firefighters haven’t determined what caused the blaze.
The fire marshal is investigation. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
