Man Charged with Illegal Silicone Injections

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ A South Florida man accused of injecting silicone into patients’ buttocks faces charges after two former patients ended up in the hospital.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports that 44-year-old Calvin Butler, also known as Tamieka Butler, was working out of a room at the El Patio Motel in West Palm Beach.

One woman told deputies in December that Butler charged her $200 each for four visits this past fall.

Around the same time, deputies talked to a man who said he had been paying Butler $100 a week for injections from June to October.

The Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/UVSqDG ) reports that doctors had to remove part of the man’s buttocks.

Butler was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license. He was later freed on $15,000 bail.        ___
