A gun was found outside the main door at Prine Elementary School in Bradenton. A fourth grade student found the gun in a grassy area and alerted the school principle, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to police, school officials found the loaded 32 caliber Beretta under a rain gutter.
An investigation is ongoing to figure out who placed it there and how.
