(11:30am)Carlos Bertonatti, the aspiring Key Biscayne pop star who killed a cyclist in a drunk-driving hit-and-run car crash, will learn his prison sentence on Thursday morning.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Bronwyn Miller is set deliver the ruling after a roller-coaster three-day sentencing hearing that included Bertonatti’s brother surprisingly claiming that he impersonated Bertonatti in racking up dozens of traffic citations over the years, a move aimed at softening the impact of the musician’s awful driving history.

Under Florida sentencing guidelines, Bertonatti faces between 11.56 and 37 years in prison. His lawyers had been pushing for the state’s minimum mandatory sentence of four years behind bars.
