Although there was a delay due to typos, it didn’t take long for a jury to convict Julie Schenecker,53, of first-degree murder. Schenecker was tried by state prosecutors for killing her two children three years ago. After hearing closing arguments all day Thursday, the jury took less than two hours to convict and reject the defense’s argument that Schenecker was insane during the crime.
