Will Website Sink Marco Rubio?

A new website — www.RubioAmnestyPlan.com — details Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s controversial stances on illegal immigration and the amnesty bill proposed by Congress and President Obama.

It is unclear who owns the domain as a WhoIs look up indicates private registration, meaning the folks who registered the website address preferred to have their identities kept private. This is a common practice as spammers will often scour website registrations and bombard address holders with spam and junk mail as well as phone calls.

The site opens by leveling a charge that has been repeated in many circles during the course of the presidential primary season: “Rubio’s only accomplishment in Congress has been to betray the American people. His record on immigration and Obamatrade demonstrate that there is nothing Rubio will not say – and no lie Rubio will not tell – in order to deliver for his donors.”

The website details — with various sources including the liberal New York Times — and quotes to Spanish-language media of Rubio’s twisted path through the amnesty conversation.

The Washington Examiner reported Rubio’s comments on Univision: “Let’s be clear,” he said. “Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization. The legalization is going to happen. That means the following will happen: First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border.”
