JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Republican Gov. Rick Scott and Republican-turned-Democrat former Gov. Charlie Crist are squaring off in their final debate.

The debate, which starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, will be held at the studios of Jacksonville television station WJXT. It will be broadcast live on CNN.

Last week’s live debate drew national attention and ridicule because the start was delayed by several minutes.

Scott did not take the stage and moderators told viewers it was because Crist insisted on using a fan. Scott’s campaign later said that they did not know Crist had taken the stage although that account has been disputed.

CNN officials say they will not allow Crist to use a fan in this debate even though Scott has said he doesn’t care if Crist has one.
