TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ Parents have 10 days to save money on back-to-school shopping thanks to Florida’s sales tax holiday.
Starting early Friday, shoppers won’t pay state or local sales tax on clothing items worth $100 or less and school supplies worth $15 or less.
The tax exemption also covers the first $750 of any computer purchase and also includes computer accessories.
This year’s sales tax holiday started at 12:01 a.m. Friday and ends on Aug. 16. State legislators extended the length of the tax holiday meaning that shoppers will be able to take advantage of the tax break over two weekends.
